Fernando Mancilla-David Ph.D. is a full professor at the University of Colorado Denver, where he teaches and directs research in energy and power systems. He is a faculty member of the Electrical Engineering Department. Prof. Mancilla-David received the B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa Maria, Valparaiso, Chile in 1999, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Madison Wisconsin, United State of America in 2002 and 2007, respectively. He has been a visiting professor in several universities around the world and has coauthored more than 90 technical articles, mostly in the area of utility applications of power electronics.
